About us
Little Stars Family Childcare Inc. was a home-based business and had been welcoming children and their families in our community since 2002.
We were a State Certified Family Childcare Program and licensed to provide care for children between
6 weeks to 12 years old. Licensing requirements included a Lane County Health Inspection and a License Specialist from CCD. These records are available at any time. We were committed to operate our program beyond the Child Care Division requirements.
The early years are the most important in a child's life. A high quality childcare program makes a huge impact in the child's growth and development. It provides the foundations for the child to have successful school experience and in life. We work cooperatively with parents during this critical period of time. We advice and support parents in their role as the child's first teacher.
Our program offered an educational environment, a curriculum that was developmentally appropriate and the opportunity for children to learn Spanish as a second language.
We maintained a low caregiver/child ratio to ensure individual attention and to build a solid relationship with your child.
The provider speaks both English and Spanish; she has ongoing training and education in Child Development, Early Education and Business management. She is a member of professional organizations like OAEYC and NAFCC, that act on behalf of the young children.
This was an Eco-friendly environment. We use cleaners that maintain our environment clean and clear from allergens to reduce the risk of children developing allergies or illness.
We are strong supporters of the Oregon Initiative for quality education for young children. We are proud to share our distinctions of "Oregon Program of Quality" since 2012, "Commitment to Quality" since 2013, and out recent distinction of a "Four Stars Program" in the new Oregon Quality Rating and Improvement System (QRIS).
